as she jumped back and ran from him.

But since all gorillas love a good footrace (especially when it’s with their next meal), he, along with the rest of his family, chased after her. Not to be left out (nor wanting to become the family’s next Kentucky Fried Big Bird), the ostriches also took off. Before TJ knew it, she was leading a parade of animals in her best Noah’s ark imitation.

After the usual jumping over spiders’ nests and ducking from cobras, they finally arrived back at camp. TJ figured with so many kids outnumbering the animals, the creatures would see the crowd and run off.

The good news was she was absolutely right.

The bad news was the crowd was even bigger than she remembered. Because surrounding her classmates, with some very sharp, pointy spears and lots of mean, frowny faces, was a tribe of African warriors.
